Following the success of the first edition of Salon Diaspora, held last June at the Green Hostel in Pointe-à-Pitre, at the same time as the Pool Art Fair Guadeloupe, the Frère Independent association has decided to launch a second edition. It will take place from December 13 to 15, from noon to 8:00 pm, at the Arawak Beach Resort in Le Gosier. The opening of this new event in the local art landscape will be held on December 12 at 6:00 pm.
The organizer has set itself the mission of giving voice to all creators, without exception, and stimulating their creativity: “The quest for beauty, harmony and new ideas in our relationship with the world gives rise to captivating works of art. This creativity is also expressed in the objects that surround us. This diversity is often grouped under the term “design”, which encompasses not only object design, but also fashion, furniture, jewelry and interior architecture. Today, we are witnessing a real buzz with more and more interior designers, deco shops and passionate craftsmen offering unique quality pieces. High-end villas, for their part, require an exceptional layout (…)”, explains the association in a preamble.
The Diaspora show will be divided into four sections: Contemporary art and artists’ objects; Objects and design; Fashion and accessories; Fashion and designers.
An information meeting for artists and the press will be held on Monday October 21 at 7:00 pm at the Arawak hotel.
