In the cultural part of this 11th edition of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, there are famous artists and bands but also some which take advantage of this international sporting event to promote themselves.
It was the case of Maroon Awmoni which was in concert at the Memorial ACTe on Tuesday, November 13, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Except the drummer, all members of the band (2 girls and 7 boys) wore white clothes on stage and they made the audience travel by playing several Caribbean rhythms; we must say that on of the musicians who play conga drum is from the island of Cuba and also is part of the O’Tantik band from the island of Marie-Galante located in the Guadeloupe archipelago. The crowd listened carefully to their performance and applauded them.
We hope to meet Maroon Awmoni quite soon on other stages in Guadeloupe and know more things about its members which, unfortunately, they did not have time to do correctly at the Memorial ACTe…
