On May 11, the “World Kréyol Art Festival” hosted another “DSP Block Party” at the Place de la Victoire in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm. The audience and the artists were more numerous than at Dubouchage’s bus station the previous Saturday. During this new American neighborhood party that presented urban culture, two new graffiti artists – Banga (In a Sentimental Mood) and Alfrédus (Fusion and Osmose) – took part in the “street art” contest, making their worksin front of the spectators.
It must be said that the “DSP Block Party” is organized in Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guiana by a brand of beer containing alcohol and the “World Kréyol Art Festival” has agreed to include it in its program. However, the strong presence of advertising banners for this beer at this party with the participation of young children and teenagers did not please everyone ; some think that the organizers of the Festival can, next year, organize the same artistic event without the presence of this brand of beer rather “embarrassing” …
