For several years now, the Pool Art Fair Guadeloupe was held at the Pointe-à-Pitre cruise terminal, during the month of June. This year, because of the worldwide epidemic of Covid-19, the organizers decided last May to postpone it from September 25 to 27.

These dates changed again since the largest visual arts fair in Guadeloupe plans to open its doors on October 2 and close them on October 4, 2020 (from noon to 8:00 pm). The opening with speeches by the officials, a mini concert, a DJ and a preview of the works will take place on October 1 at 7:00 pm.

The cultural event will not take place in Pointe-à-Pitre but in Le Gosier, at the Fleur d’Épée hotel. On 6 August, a tour of the hotel and the rooms used as a gallery to display the works of art was organized for exhibiting artists, art lovers and the press.

After Haiti (2017), France (2018), Canada (2019), Cameroon which is used to be represented at the PAF with notably the Bandjoun Station of the artist Barthélemy Toguo, will be the guest country of honor for this 11th edition.

Conferences, an evening of live show (Corpus Cristi), a fashion show on the occasion of Éliette Lesuperbe’s 25 years of career, workshops in ceramics, pottery, painting or photography for children and adults, visits to the exhibition for school children, a discovery of street art frescoes in Pointe-à-Pitre will be offered to the public during these three days of celebration of contemporary art. Access to the Pool Art Fair will cost 10 euros.
