Covid-19: no films offered to the audience at CineVision Sud Film Festival

The association Mission Cinéma Caraïbe was preparing to offer a great moment of 7th art to the audience from January 14 to 20 on the occasion of the 4th edition of the CineVision Sud Film Festival but the growing epidemic of Covid-19 with the arrival of the variant Omicron in the Guadeloupean archipelago has changed the course of the cinematographic event.

Indeed, in a press release we received, MCC said : “Due to the current health context and technical problems beyond our control, we can not offer the selected films to the general public from January 14 to 20 at the cine-theater of Le Lamentin. However, we have adapted. We will only be able to welcome the general public, the press, the directors and their guests on Wednesday January 19 at the Cinestar (Les Abymes) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for a great moment : Screenings of the award-winning films & Award ceremony for each selection”.

The general public will be able to participate in this meeting by paying 6 euros. They are also invited to learn about the health protocol in force at Cinestar. For more information : press@mcinecaribe.com and social networks of the festival.
