The outstanding producer from San Pedro de Macorís, Ghetto, continues to add successes to his repertoire, the most recent being the awards he won during the BMI Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, California, for the song “La Tóxica”, which he produced for Puerto Rican Farruko.
The awards were given in the “Contemporary Music” and “Most Played Songs of the Year” categories which @ghettospm celebrates along with fellow Panamanian producer K4G, both signed by the Carbon Fiber Music label.
Ghetto, who catapulted his career internationally with hits such as, “Pepas” by Farruko, is back on the global radar with “La Tóxica”, which already has over 300 million plays on Spotify and 200 million views on YouTube and reaches his first number one on the Billboard Latin Airplay Chart, and “La Tóxica (Remix)” by Farruko ft. Sech, Myke Towers, Jay Wheeler & Tempo.
Keriel Quiroz (K4G) made a name for himself professionally, also, in collaborations with musical exponents of his country such as Akim y Boza in “Sensi”, and Akim’s “Tu Papi”, surpassing with the latter more than 1,2 million plays on Spotify and over 10 million views on YouTube.
The musical arranger Axel Quezada, Ghetto’s real name, has obtained other great successes with songs like “No hago coro con nadie”, certified double platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). He has also worked for artists such as Lary Over, J Alvarez, Sixto Rein, Jowel & Randy, Sech, Myke Towers, Jay Wheeler and Tempo.
“Thank you from my heart to BMI for allowing me to be part of this beautiful family and recognizing the talent of many songwriters and producers who dream of these achievements. Thanks to God, Farruko and all the Carbon Fiber Music Company for letting me be part of this great success”, said Ghetto.
