Through a network of radio stations throughout the country, El Legado, assumed by Jandy Ventura, premiered the new version of the popular merengue “Yo Soy El Merengue” (I am Merengue), highlighting the Dominican identity as an inspiration of our essence.
This version that was remastered and performed by father and son brings together all the elements to be a super hit, combining Johnny Ventura’s Saoco and the extraordinary synergy of colors of this time, achieving the transition from the legendary merenguero music with the new generations, without losing the indelible traces and unique style of the Caballo Mayor.
“With this song that for so many years my father carried as a flag, we want every lover of the genre to be able to express with nationalistic pride that we are all merengue, no matter what activity they are involved in or where they come from”, said Jandy Ventura.
“Yo Soy El Merengue” has an audiovisual material produced by Juan El Talento, which seeks to praise the feeling of pride of all those who were born in Quisqueya, the land that saw the birth and marked the history of his father, allowing him to take the rhythm around the world, reaffirming that it is the DNA of the Dominican.
The video recreates iconic places of the country and different personalities in public life saying “Yo Soy El Merengue” (I am Merengue), as an indicative insignia that belongs to them.
