From June 28 to August 18, 2024, the Fondation Clément, based in the town of Le François in Martinique is hosting the exhibition by Guadeloupean painter Jean-Marc Hunt entitled “Negatalent”.
“The monographic exhibition “Negatalent” highlights the necessary pioneering character and the role of the artist in the development of a recognized contemporary work. Inscribing an artistic creation from the French West Indies, requires a clear vision that the artist forges with investment and determination in a long and constructive process. By questioning the path of the “Negatalent”, he contextualizes here Creole culture and history in its field of elevation in the world”, says curator of this exhibition Mary-Lou Ngwe Secke.
The exhibition is open daily from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, and admission is free.
If you are in Martinique on Sunday June 30, you can meet the artist and the curator during a guided tour starting at 10:00 am. This activity is also free and without reservation.
