The influential Dominican businesswoman and co-founder of Latin Plug, Lili Paredes will attend one of the most important events of the Dominican community in the United States, “Dominicans On The Hill”, this Wednesday, February 8, at the National Capitol of the United States in Washington D.C.
Paredes, who runs the Dominican market, was able to work to gain the recognition and place that she has today throughout Latin America, thanks to her influence and arduous effort to promote Hispanic culture and especially that of her country of origin.
“Being part of this makes me very happy. Being able to attend “Dominicans On The Hill” along with important advocates and representatives of our beloved country is really valuable to me. Defending and preserving our culture, rights and interests in the world is my greatest motivation and doing so with many compatriots is really gratifying”, said Paredes, who is honored by this invitation.
The “Dominicans On The Hill” event is held annually during Dominican Heritage Month, which was created by Republican Congressman Adriano Espaillat to recognize the growing civic commitment of the Dominican-American community and the entire Diaspora.
In Washington D.C., hundreds of community leaders, professionals, students and many influential and internationally renowned personalities of Dominican origin will gather, including Yanilda Estrella, founder of “El Secreto de un Futuro” and other community leaders.
