Lovers of contemporary art are expected on June 23, 24 and 25 at the cruise terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre at the Pool Art Fair Guadeloupe.
Frère Independent announces the opening of registrations for exhibitors (artists, art dealers, curators, collectors etc.) who are invited to fill out the form available on the website www.poolartfair.com until May 10, 2023.
“The selection is based on the quality of technical execution of the works and the adequacy between the artist’s vision and the work presented. We pay particular attention to promoting talent even in its nascent form. Similarly, the fair wants to represent contemporary and avant-garde expressions as much as possible either in form or in concept or theme”, said the organizing association.
For three days, the fair will be open to visitors from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The opening will take place on Thursday, June 22 from 4:00 for VIPs. The association hopes to attract as many people as in previous years – more than 7,000 – if not more to this annual cultural event that is “an exceptional opportunity for the art world to meet for commercial and cultural exchanges”, it says.
The country of honor for this 14th edition is the Ivory Coast. The works of artists Frédéric Bruly Bouabré, Aboudia or Yagor will certainly be exhibited.
“The fair has never stopped growing and is now playing its fool role as a tool for developing of an art world”, write the organizers in the press kit.
Note that the first edition of the Pool Art Fair Guadeloupe took place in the garden of the T&T Art Contemporain gallery in Basse-Terre, then it was held in Bouillante and Le Gosier before taking up residence at the Pointe-à-Pitre cruise terminal.
