Multi-platinum salsa artist and international award winner Tito Nieves has started the first quarter of 2023 with an agenda full of professional successes.
Considered the “Pavarotti of salsa” he delights us with his new song “Volver a Casa”, a composition by Colombian singer-songwriter Mario Caceres, which is dedicated to people who had to move from their country leaving their families behind. “Volver a Casa” is within the top 5 most listened songs in the “Lo Último y Lo Mejor de la salsa/ Salsa Nation” Playlist on Spotify.
The track is available on all digital platforms under the label Tito Nieves Creation INC and distributed by ONE RPM.
Nieves is preparing to make an “Unplugged” totally in English and a new tour is currently being planned by Loud And Live where he is signed as an exclusive artist.
He was nominated for the GRAMMY®️ in the category of best Latin tropical album, he was invited to sing at the Premios lo Nuestro and was invited to the concert for the 50th anniversary of the artistic life of his colleague Willy Chirino in Miami. In addition, he gave a concert for the Miami Marlins family and the World Baseball Classic in Miami Beach on the night of March 10.
On March 17 and 19, he performed successfully in Mexico City and the Acapulco Salsa Festival.
He recently received from the Association of Art Chroniclers (ACROARTE), the most important in the Dominican Republic, the International Soberano Award for his outstanding career and his great popularity among Dominicans.
This recognition, instituted in 1984, is given to the foreign artist or personality of art and entertainment who has performed exceptional artistic work in any of the arts awarded by the Soberanos. He also participated with Gilberto Santa Rosa in the tribute to his friend José Alberto “El Canario”.
Tito Nieves began his career in the 1970s with Orquesta Cimarrón. He later teamed up with Héctor Lavoe and in the 1980s he was part of El Conjunto Clásico.
Later, as a soloist, he was the performer of great international songs such as “Fabricando Fantasías”, “I Like It Like That”, “De Mi Enamórate”, among others, positioning himself as one of the most important salsa singers in the world and is considered a living legend for his contributions to tropical music throughout his long and outstanding career.
Tito Nieves is considered a salsa eminence and continues to celebrate his 48 years of successful career with new projects.
