Three years ago, we introduced you to Guadeloupean singer Warped through his track “La voix de la rue”. This year, the poet, who has changed label since he was signed to Chabine Prod, is back with “Sa ka bay”, written by Oswald Noël and composed by François Rodomond. Warped talks about the beauty and ugliness of life in his native land, but assures us that he has what it takes to face his critics… In fact, these are lyrics in which many will recognize themselves and want to sing the chorus. “Non, a pa pou dyab an ka travay, Bon Dié ja trasé chimen an mwen ja ni on bay” (No, I’m not working for the devil, God has already made my way a long time ago), the artist declares.
This full of rhythm song is accompanied by a video shot by well-known director Jean-Marie “Jima” Kanor, featuring the artist at some of the archipelago’s famous natural sites, such as the Bassin Bleu in Gourbeyre.
In just two days on Youtube, the video clip for “Sa ka Bay” has already been viewed more than 35,000 times.
