Chilean artist and producer David Deflores bursts onto the scene with “Agüita de Coco”, a song that does not ask for permission to take over the body and the dance floor. Composed and produced by Deflores in El Valle de Samaná, Dominican Republic, this track is pure Caribbean fire: Afro rhythms, hypnotic groove and chorus that sticks to the skin like sand after a sunset on the beach.
Mixed and mastered in Chile by Tunacola, the song also features the collaboration of Chilean musician Batarce, who brings more life to the composition with his voice in a verse.
“This song is not only music, it’s provocation, sweat, sea, nights that don’t end. It’s my two years in the Dominican Republic that became rhythm. If you don’t feel like moving, check if you’re still breathing”, said David.
The music video, at the height of the song, is a magnetic visual work. Behind the camera, a dream team: Venezuelan director Juan Mendoza, the impeccable photographic eye of Yago Soria and the surgical editing of Alberto Alepus. Together they have created a visual journey that sums up the essence of “Agüita de Coco”: an uncontrolled celebration, where the Caribbean unfolds in its wildest and most vibrant form.
More than a single, the track is an intentional invitation to get lost in the rhythm that is already available on all digital platforms.
