The 8th edition of the Pool Art Fair opened its doors to the public on Friday, June 16th at 10:00 am at the cruises terminal of Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes in Pointe-à-Pitre. This year, Haiti is the guest of honor of this cultural event and a tribute is paid to Jean-Michel Basquiat, the famous neo-expressionist American painter, born of Haitian and Puerto Rican parents who died in 1988 at the age of 27. About sixty artists from Haiti, Ireland, Cameroon, France, Cuba, Martinique, Saint Martin and Guadeloupe are waiting the art lovers and novices until Sunday, June 18th. Lectures are also scheduled.
