“Tanmpo” was the guest on the stage at the Memorial ACTe, on the occasion of the 11th edition and the 40th anniversary of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, this mytical transatlantic race between Saint-Malo (France) and Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe). That night, the band which consists of well-known musicians among them Jérôme Castry (drummer) or Jean-Michel Lesdel (pianist) accompanied two Guadeloupean singers, Patrice Hulman and Jean-Michel Rotin.
Patrice Hulman opened the concert by singing some of his hits like “On nonm sèlman” and “Marie-Galante” ; singer Lucile Kancel came to share the stage with him. Then, singer Jean-Michel Rotin, the zouk RnB creator, that the audience wanted to see gave his show.
To end this concert, Patrice Hulman who is from Marie-Galante – a little island which is part of the Guadeloupe’s archipelago – performed with talent a medley with several hits composed by the late Patrick Saint-Éloi, nicknamed the “king of zouk love”. This tribute delighted the numerous fans of the artist who died in 2010 at the age of 52…
