Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, New York, the singer-songwriter is currently promoting two songs: “Toy pegá” and “Lo’ papele”.
Although she began her career in the art world as a dancer, Mabel Sahony Dicló, known artistically as Sahony, had another version of her talent, but in singing. Now, after years of preparation, she is looking for her space and is currently promoting the songs “Toy pegá” with La Insuperable and “Lo’ papele” with Haraka Kiko.
The catchy track with La Insuperable, that fuses Brazilian and tropical rhythms, has a video available on the YouTube platform. Meanwhile, the audiovisual of the song with Haraka will be released this coming Friday 15 on YouTube.
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, New York, the singer-songwriter also said that she is not limited to a single genre since her music is influenced by various genres such as bolero, ballads, hip-hop, rap, R&B, and pop.
With a degree in Social Communication and after studying singing as well, now with a more mature career, she seeks to position herself and represent her country with dignity.
“Art has always run through my veins and that is why in these 15 years I have been sailing in different branches of art, I have prepared myself for my moment. Now I am collaborating and creating music with many colleagues from the DR and one of the proposals that I put forward is this one with La Insuperable, who is one of the most important urban exponents of the country”, said the artist who also has a collaboration with rapper Quimico Ultramega entitled “Me provocas”.
With the support of the company Xzone Record, Sahony has a team composed of Justin Comb, his manager and Luis Espinosa his road manager.
